Ha-seong Kim sues a junior baseball player he played with
San Diego Kim Ha-seong, who plays in the U.S. Major League Baseball (MLB), filed a police complaint against his former teammate, Mr. A.
According to the police on the 7th, Ha-seong Kim submitted a complaint against Mr. A to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul last month on charges of blackmail and attempted extortion.
Ha-seong Kim is known to have claimed that after a physical fight with Mr. A while drinking at a bar in Gangnam, Seoul two years ago, he was asked to pay a settlement by Mr. A.
Kim Ha-seong's claim is that even after Mr. A received the settlement, he continued to demand money and valuables.
Ha-seong Kim played for Kiwoom until 2020 and entered the major league in 2021.
He had the best season of his career this year, becoming the first Asian infielder to win the Gold Glove.
