Notification of release' Will the promising outfielder be called up by another team?

Will Song Jun-seok, a promising outfielder who has become invincible, receive a call from another team?

On the 25th, Samsung officially announced that it would not renew contracts with 11 players, including Noh Geon-woo, Park Se-woong, Jang Ji-hoon, Kim Yong-ha, Kim Jun-woo, Maeng Seong-ju, Park Yong-min (pitcher), Kim Ho-jae, Lee Tae-hoon, Yoon Jeong-hoon (infielder), and Song Jun-seok (outfielder).

Song Jun-seok, who hit a double to left-center field against Japanese national team starter Shohei Ohtani during his youth national team days at Jangchung High School in 2012, attracted attention as a left-handed pitching outfielder with a combination of offense, defense, and pitching skills when he joined the team in 2013.

Song Jun-seok, who made his debut in the first team in 2018, has a batting average of .233 (44 hits in 189 at-bats), 4 home runs, 17 RBIs, and 20 runs in 105 games. On February 16, he achieved his first cycling hit in a self-assessment event held at a camp in Okinawa, Japan.

Song Jun-seok, who played as the blue team's seventh left fielder, got off to a good start with a triple to center field after two outs in the second inning. He hit a 1-RBI double in the 4th inning with no outs on 1st and 2nd bases. He recorded his third hit with a base hit with two outs and two outs on second base in the fifth inning, and completed his cycling hit by hitting a one-run home run over the right field wall in the sixth inning.

At the time, he said, “This is my first time getting a cycling hit, but I don’t attach much importance to it. “I paid attention to making up for the bad parts during training, and I am satisfied with the good results,” he said, adding, “I will play the season without injury and do my best in each game.”

In 7 games this season, he had a batting average of .255 (2 hits in 8 at-bats) and only 1 RBI. Due to the strong outfield depth of the first team, there were not many opportunities to play, but he was born in 1994, so he is young and sincere, so there is still value to utilize.

Infielder Kim Ho-jae (28) is also a player worth recruiting from another club. After graduating from Jangchung High School, he joined Samsung as a training player in 2014 and participated in 286 first-team games, hitting .2045 (92 hits in 375 at-bats), 27 RBIs, 37 runs, and 4 stolen bases.
