Close to loan transfer to the most winning team in Serie A”

Jordan Henderson, former captain of Liverpool FC in the English Premier League, is about to move on loan to Juventus.

Di Marzio, a leading Italian journalist, said on the 13th (Korean time), "Henderson, who wants to leave Saudi Arabia and return to Europe, could join Juventus."

Henderson joined Sunderland AFC in 1998 at the age of eight, and debuted in the first team in 2008. In November 2010, he made his debut as a member of the England senior national team in a friendly match against France. In 2011, Henderson was selected as one of the '13 Notable Prospects of 2011' announced by FIFA, and was selected as Sunderland's Young Player of the Year for two consecutive years.

Ahead of the 2011-2012 season, Henderson wore a Liverpool uniform for a transfer fee of 16 million pounds (about 26.8 billion won). Henderson established himself as a starting midfielder in his debut season at Liverpool with 2 goals and 3 assists in 48 appearances. He was appointed vice-captain in the 2014-2015 season and was evaluated as Steven Gerrard's successor.

Henderson served as Liverpool's captain following the appointment of manager Jurgen Klopp in the 2015-2016 season. In the 2018-2019 season, Henderson lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy as captain, and even won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in the 2019-2020 season.

Additionally, Henderson led Liverpool to their first English Premier League title in 30 years this season. In addition to being selected in the PFA Team of the Year, Henderson was honored with the Liverpool Fans' Player of the Year and FWA Player of the Year awards.

Afterwards, Henderson added the Carabao Cup and FA Cup trophies in the 2021-2022 season, and last season, he even won the FA Community Shield, becoming the first Liverpool captain to win 7 major competition trophies. He will play his final season at Liverpool in 2023, aged 33.

In July 2023, Henderson transferred to Al Etifaq of the Saudi Professional League. At the time, Saudi professional league clubs recruited a large number of star players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante, Fabinho, Riyad Mahrez, and Roberto Firumino.
